While Nicolás Maduro was being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center, I entered the lobby and found myself face-to-face with four heavily armed Special Forces soldiers. Wearing helmets, with massive weapons strapped across their chests, they stood between me and my locker. That night, I had vivid nightmares filled with violence.
