“Girasole”
Acrylic
Detailed section of a 30”x40” piece
“I commissioned Lisa to create this work for me after coming out of a very difficult time of my life - a frightening medical diagnosis, complicated treatments, and brutal side effects. While my spirit and my body were exhausted, after two years I had hope and joy again, and this felt worth celebrating.
Lisa worked with me to discover what form this commemoration could take. She asked me the technical questions to define the work in terms of dimensions and colors, but she also probed something more important; that is, how did I want this work of art to make me FEEL when I looked at it. Through our many conversations she helped me find a subject that would elicit those feelings, the sunflowers of Italy. Bright and brilliant, sunflowers symbolize how I want to live my life going forward: always turning towards the sun, lifting my head high, and standing tall. Lisa perfectly and sensitively captured everything I was hoping for. Not only do I enjoy it every day, I continue to be inspired by it. Here’s to life and beauty and the healing power of art!” -Lora G.

“This abstract piece means more to me than I can put into words. Every time I look at it, I notice something new — a feeling, a memory, a quiet moment. Art like this doesn’t just fill a space, it stays with you. I love how this painting doesn’t tell you what to see — it invites you to feel. The layers, movement, and energy make it endlessly interesting, and it somehow fits my space perfectly. A beautiful reminder of how powerful and personal abstract art can be. Feeling very lucky to have this...Art that feels like home.” KO
Eclipse 2024
Acrylic, Hanging Wire
“Lisa created a unique painting for us that conveys the drama and urgent beauty of a solar eclipse. Using only two colors and an insightful accent of wire, her Eclipse captures the shock of the moment of totality and the electric sensation of this awesome natural spectacle. Her work is bold and emotional, universal and specific.” - SC
